Which can Trainerize implement advanced AI-driven adaptive training plans that dynamically adjust?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been exploring ways to make Trainerize training plans far more adaptive and personalized, and I’d love to hear thoughts from the community and product team on this.
Here’s what I’m envisioning:
Real-Time Performance Feedback Loop:
Collect real-time data from connected wearables (heart rate variability, sleep quality, daily activity, training load).
Adjust day-to-day training intensity or volume based on recovery metrics and recent performance trends.
Has anyone experimented with adaptive plan logic like this in Trainerize or similar platforms? What worked and what didn’t?
Looking forward to insights from coaches, developers, and product thinkers!

Can we add HRV & Deep Sleep tracking as a metric in the app?
It would make my life so much easier and better as a coach if I could see my clients daily, weekly and monthly HRV.
Also, if I could see the percentage of their deep sleep it would make me hold them so much more accountable to their sleep.

habit description more visible on first click.
Clients keep telling me that after months of working with me they haven't found the descriptions of custom habits, because you need to swipe to the left.
There is no instructions whatsoever to do so.
So please add a preview of the habit description and/ or an instruction to swipe left, thanks!2 votes -
Allow Clients to Upload Images into Calendar
It would be helpful to have an option just like "workout", "cardio", "check-in form", etc where a client can upload an image that shows a workout they did on their own. There are clients I work with who are not following a workout program built by me, but we do use Trainerize for nutrition coaching/food tracking. The likelihood that I can expect a client like this to go in and "Build their own workout" while hand picking every single exercise they did is not high as most people do not have the time to do this. Therefore, just giving them…

AI Program Adjustments Based on Client Check-Ins
I'd like to see the AI Workout Builder react to client check-ins and progress data automatically.
Right now, we collect a ton of useful info (energy, sleep, soreness, compliance, etc.), but it still requires the coach to manually adjust the program. It would be a huge time-saver if AI could suggest (or even auto-apply, with approval) small program tweaks based on that data.
Example use case:
Client reports low energy + high soreness → AI suggests reducing volume or intensity for the next session
Client consistently hits targets easily → AI suggests progressive overload (increase weight/reps)
Missed workouts → AI…1 vote -

TITLE: Allow meal tracker photos to be downloaded through the API
DESCRIPTION:
We can all agree that getting clients to track their food is probably one of the hardest things that a fitness coach has ever tried to do, period. As I've learned about different developer tools, I thought it would be really cool to just have the clients do the least amount of effort and actually just post photos of their meal in the Trainerize meal tracker and have different AI tools to simply scan the photos that are there for macronutrient analysis, period. It would be even cooler if AI could re-enter those macronutrients into Trainerize instead of the…

Swim Data Fields
You’ve added a “Swim” cardio workout option, which is great. However the data fields available to log metrics from a swim workout are extremely limited.
Like a “walk” cardio workout, can you add time / distance (m or yards) and calories as part of logging a swim workout?

Sprints Category Update
Sprints should let me do hundredths of seconds. Nobody is measuring sprints in minutes and seconds so essentially that category is useless

the ability to add half reps (such as 7.5 reps) instead of only whole numbers, so users can track their workouts more accurately.
This feature would be very valuable because not every set in strength training ends with a full repetition. In many exercises, especially during high-intensity sets, drop sets, partial reps, or training close to muscular failure, athletes often complete only part of the final repetition. That “half rep” still represents real work, real fatigue, and real training stimulus, but currently it cannot be tracked accurately if the app only accepts whole numbers.
For example, if someone performs 7 full reps and then manages only half of the 8th rep before failure, logging 8 reps would be inaccurate and logging 7 reps…1 vote -

Editing General Activities
When tracking an activity, using my Garmin, in this example it is racket sports, the Trainerize app only records it as a 'General Activity'. We can already edit the times for these activities once they appear on the dashboard, but I would like to be able to edit their names so it is easier to tell what each one was at a glance. Once more activities get added to the app, I don't see this being an issue.

What is Trainerize design - how about it?
In the context of increasingly personalized online coaching needs, how can Trainerize design and integrate a multi-tiered system architecture that uses artificial intelligence, deep learning, predictive analytics, and real-time data synchronization from wearables to not only optimize the coaching experience based on each user’s behavior, performance, biosensors, and long-term goals, but also ensure security, scalability when data volumes spike, backward compatibility with existing APIs, and maintain stable processing performance for millions of concurrent active users?

Sport Science - Including different metrics
If there was a way to track different metrics to allow for various training modalities & progression would be great. Especially since there are an increase in newer apps that allow for clients to track different metrics such as Velocity Based Training (VBT) using JumpLab or MetricVBT apps.
This could include; Average or Max Wattage for Assault Bikes, VBT metrics (Average Velocity or Peak Power),
This could potentially be an option whereby we click what metrics we'd like to track for each exercise to make it easier & cleaner instead of its traditional drop-down menu. Eg Endurance, Strength, Timed, etc.

Sync nutrition data to Apple health
I log my meals in Trainerize. You should then write that data to Apple health app for macro and calorie tracking.
