This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  2. Nutrition target phases

    Hey all! My suggestion is to add phases to nutrition targets just like you can add phases/cycles to a training program. Eg. 8 week calorie deficit, 2 weeks of maintenance, then another 8 week calorie deficit etc.

    With a big group of clients it can be pretty challenging to stay on top of who is ready to transition to maintenance or a diet break and back to their calorie deficit, resulting in lots of screenshots on my desktop to keep track of their deficit and maintenance calories between their phases as we currently have to edit their existing target manually,…

  7. Make a steps based challenge

    The steps are automatically calculated by the data synced from their Garmin, Fitbit, or Apple Watch. Reward points automatically for their step count. The leaderboard will be ranked by accumulated steps within the set challenge period.

    Many of my clients prefer — and see the best results from — straightforward, batch-friendly meals without extra sauces, toppings, or complicated ingredients.

    I’d love to see the Smart Meal Plan Master Library include more classic bodybuilding staples like:

    Proats: oatmeal, whey isolate protein powder, berries

    Chicken & Rice: grilled chicken ******, rice, steamed veggies

    Ground Turkey & Sweet Potato: with green beans or broccoli

    Egg Whites & Ezekiel Toast: with avocado or spinach

  9. Show client their nutrition targets on the dashboard in new layout

    The new updated layout removed the nutrition target bars and remaining macros from a clients dashboard. This needs to be added back so clients can see their total nutrition at a glance on their main screen without having to log anything

  10. Add modifications to exercises in the workout library.

    Adding more modifications to the exercise library. Or being able to connect modifications to an exercise in a workout. i.e. in the workout I add regular pushups. Instead of in the notes adding modification instructions or adding knee pushups as a separate exercise in the workout. Attaching the knee pushups to the regular ones when I add it in the workout.

  11. Reports

    Can we get the ability to run reports like a normal business owner.
    Sessions used/utlilization, revenue by custom date ranges, number of missed sessions, session expiration dates, alerts for low session usage, just to name a few.
    It’s very frustrating knowing that ABC Financial bought Trainerize and having used ABC Financial in the past, I know it’s possible to run all of these reports.

  12. Automatically Update Check-In Forms When Changes Are Made

    When making changes to check-in forms, the changes are not reflected when the form was already scheduled in a client's calendar. It would be helpful for those with custom programs if the changes made in the check-in form library automatically carried over to the pre-scheduled check ins.

  13. Stop completed workouts being deleted when I unschedule them

    On a number of occasions, I've accidentally unscheduled a completed workout for a client, which then deletes the workout entirely. No weights. No reps. No measure of progress.

    This is extremely frustrating and there's no way to recover these so far as I can tell.

    Please stop the software deleting completed workouts through unscheduling them, unless I explicitly click the 'delete workout' button in the calendar.

  16. Red Light, Yellow Light, Green Light System.

    A quick check in day of workout, based on the answers provided regarding energy and recovery, the client will perform then the appropriate predetermined workout or rest day, Red Light = rest day, Yellow light = modified workout as predetermined by the trainer, green light = all out planned workout.

  18. Built-In Warm-Up Sets & Smart Load Calculator for Strength Workouts

    The ability to track warm-up sets for strength exercises, along with an integrated warm-up calculator or suggested warm-up protocols for each workout.

    Currently, trainers can’t pre-configure warm-ups directly within the exercise itself — they can only include them in the instructions. This forces both coaches and clients to manually calculate loads, which is time-consuming and disrupts workout flow.

    This could be implemented in a few ways:

    1. Allow sets to be marked as “warm-up” so they don’t count toward working-set history or performance tracking

    For someone on the trainerize team to go through the exercises on system and correct exercise instructions. I counter mistakes time and time again, especially on the newly added exercises. I have reported many of the mistakes I have noticed, or mistakes clients have pointed out, with nothing ever being fixed. We play a lot of money to use this system and as fitness professionals it's our job to provide accurate instructions to our clients so they can perform exercises safely and effectively, this is made harder when working with online clients as we are not there to instruct them…

  20. desktop version

    I would love to have side by side photos available for desktop version. Right now we can only do side by side viewing on the app, but I run my business from my desktop and I can't view photos side by side on the desktop version. I barely look at the app when coaching on my phone, desktop only. So more desktop features would be great.
