Coach / Trainer - ABC Trainerize

We are continually upgrading your fitness app with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified.

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

Thanks!

  1. Increase interval timer so it can be used for longer cardio sessions

The interval timer seems to only go to 5 minutes. It would be nice to used a countdown timer for running workouts like this:
    Walk/Jog Warmup - 5 minutes
    Run (zone 2) - 15 minutes
    Run (zone 3) - 10 minutes
    Run (zone 2) - 15 minutes
    Walk/Jog Cooldown - 5 minutes

We also use it for cycling, which has intervals up to 90 minutes.

  2. Have Estimated 1RM viewable in the progress graph

Tracking estimated 1rm is one of the best ways to see strength progress for a given exercise

  3. Allow clients to track 'freestyle workouts' in real-time...

Allow clients to track 'freestyle workouts' in real-time adding the exercise followed by sets, reps and weight as they go. This would make things way simpler to track as they go along rather than having to add the exercises first, then editing the sets/reps, then editing the weight, which at the moment is a nightmare.

  4. Editing progression

When editing progression for a workout, it would be great to see the last 1-3 workouts stats (sets, reps, weight) (more the better) as well. You might need to adjust exercise based on previous stats, and having everything in view would make things so much simpler.

  5. Exercise difficulty rating

With a previous software that I've used, each exercise was rated on a difficulty level from 1-10, and when searching for exercises, you were able to sort based on difficulty level, which makes it much easier when trying to find exercises for extreme beginners, or extreme experts if necessary.

  7. Drop down list of exercises

The ability to create a drop down list of exercises in a program i.e. say a program consisted of:

    A1 - Lower body single leg push - 4 x 6-8
    A2 - Upper body pull - 4 x 6-8

    B1 - - Lower body single leg pull - 4 x 6-8
    B2 - upper body push - 4 x 6-8
    B3 - core - 4 x 10-12

    D1 - biceps - 2x10-12
    D2 - triceps 2x10-12

The actual exercise variety would be populated with a list of exercises (say split squats, lunge and step up for single leg push). The…

  9. To be able to see how much protein they have had for the day

I have a client that brought up the fact that she wishes the app would tell her in total how many g of protein or other macro she has had for the day. It tells her how much she has left but not where she currently stands. She has to do the math

  12. Adapt "Smart Meal Plan" to "Daily Nutrition Goal"

Currently, I want to set specific macro targets (with specific grams), and then assign a corresponding smart meal plan. However, if I assign a smart meal plan, the Nutrition Goal gets deleted/overridden. It would be awesome if both features could work together.

  13. Check off exercises when done with each

I've had a few clients ask for a feature where they can "check off" exercises as they finish them. With this, that set/exercise would collapse and move to the next one - rather than having to search around the page with all open exercises.

  16. Link 'challenges' feature automation with products or Groups

It would be great to be able to link a challenge to product automation OR to be able to attach the challenge to a group to enable more automatic enrollment.

  17. Ability to see what the client sees FULLY on tracker

I hate when I can’t explain how to do something because the coach view of the meal tracking isn’t the exact same as the client facing! For as expensive as this add on is - it’s kind of crazy I can’t see it myself.

  18. hand portion tracker within the hand portion guide habits

I'd love for clients to be able to input/track how many hand portions of proteins, fats, and carbs they hit, rather than ticking or not ticking the habit off at the end of the day. Love that we can set goals for them but this would help as a coach to get a little better idea of what is going on when using hand portions guides.

  19. Recipes that are truly low-carb/keto/carnivore

Hi for nutrition coaching I focus on Keto and Carnivore style of very low carb to zero carb meals. Because of this I can't prescribe most of your meals because even the low carb versions have potatoes, fruit, rice, and other items that I typically leave out or severely limit for my clients. I know I can add my own recipes, but will Trainerize be adding more recipes that follow these guidelines soon?

  20. Lean Mass (muscle) should be pulled from InBody and Tracked in Trainerize

Trainerize only tracks lean mass (which is fat free mass) from InBody and not Lean Mass (muscle). Lean Mass (muscle) should be tracked as well.
