Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  1. Better tracking for machines that use assistance

    On machines that use assistance (machine assisted pull ups), the heavier the weight the easier the exercise. We need to be able to track progress so that it shows the lower the weight, the more progress the client is seeing. This way they can see that they are achieving their personal bests at the end of the workout.

  2. Allow clients to make changes to their workouts that they can save and do again

    If clients want to make changes to their workout, based on their preferences and equipment available, it would be really helpful if they could save it so they can do the workout again next time. It detracts from the client experience for them to not be able to save it, and to have to ask and wait for the coach to change things for them. Many of my clients would appreciate this feature being added.

  3. Enter data under daily task

    We need the ability to add daily habits that clients can enter feedback on. For example: “Track # servings of protein ___” and client can enter a #. Or “# alcoholic beverages__”. They log food which is great but sometimes logging the # of servings (or minutes of a workout, or ounces of water, etc) is very helpful for clients.

  4. Ability to view habit compliance % between 2 dates

    Instead of only seeing habit % for the calendar month, it would be great for clients to be able to see their habit compliance % for the last 30 days (or select 2 dates and see compliance between those dates). Clients who start mid-month have to do a bunch of calculations to find their compliance for last 30 days.

  5. Why you should workout with me video.

    The why you should workout with me video. I would like it to be at least 3 to 5 mins. It would give us the opportunity to create a commercial and a preview of workout programs or exercises. The space currently only allows 30 secs of vertical video. I would like to do horizontal or vertical for 3-5 mins.

  6. Calculate the number of missed workouts and goals etc… to discuss with client during check in

    To create accountability and to be able to show the client how many sessions or habits they’ve missed or number of days they haven’t logged when discussing goals and importance of tracking. Also a way to kickstart a conversation if too much is being expected during goal setting discussions.

  8. Filter the calendar view for workouts, cardio, appts

    It would be a great review and efficiency feature to be able to filter a client's calendar view to show only one or a combination of items displayed;
    1) Workouts
    2) Nutrition
    3) Cardio / Activity
    4) Appointments
    5) Body Stats
    6) Habits

    Trainerize should automatically migrate clients between trainers when they are rescheduled in our DataTrak portal, without having to get a manager to re-assign them

  10. Ability to repeat calendar items (like auto messages) farther than 4 weeks apart

    Currently, automated messages or anything else can only be scheduled 4 weeks apart. When reminding a client to perform a benchmark workout, 4 weeks is too short a period, as benchmarks need to be done 6-12 weeks apart. It would be very useful to allow more than a 1-month gap between messages. Up to 12 weeks apart is good. Thank you!

  11. Show written exercise descriptions within interval workouts

    We have several clients who find it frustrating that they can't access the written exercise descriptions from within an interval workout. We often use multi-exercise workout finishers (e.g. a dumbbell finisher with 5 moves), and the only way for them to see the exercise list is to exit (discard) their workout. It would be great to have the same view as "regular" workouts, where you can tap to see written descriptions of each exercise.

  12. Have an Option to Include Practitioner and/or Billing Number on Invoices

    Have an option to include details like practitioner/billing number on invoices.

    For practitioners/therapists like physios, RMTs, kinesiologists, etc, the ability to include practitioner and/or billing numbers on invoices is important so that the client can submit the invoice for insurance claims.

  14. allow clients to leave a tip for their trainer

    Add a tip option to payments at checkout. There is a discount code box but it would be nice if there were also an area where clients can leave their trainer a tip.

  15. Program pay at time of purchase, start program on specific day of the week

    It would be nice if the client would be charged the day they click purchase and not on the program start day. eg - if they purchase Wed but program starts on a Monday it messes up the program's days of the week. And have the option to add-on pre-programmed workouts that automatically load to their training program until the main program starts 'next ***'.

  17. Edit or modify the workout from the calendar tab

    From the Calendar Overview of the entire program, I would like to edit or modify the workout. The current options are Print and Delete. Editing the workout from the Calendar will be more efficient and less time consuming between switching tabs/pages.

  18. Prescribe exercises within a set amount of time with remaining time to rest.

    Create an option where you can complete exercise or exercises within a prescribed time.

    Example 1. 10 x Bench Press 3010 in 80 Seconds Rounds for 4 Sets/Round. The exercises to be completed within 80 seconds (every 80 Seconds) with remaining time to rest before starting again.

    Example 2. 10 x Bench Press 3010 & 10 x Row 2010 in 2 Minute Rounds for 4 Sets/Round where both exercises to be completed within 2 minutes with remaining time to rest before starting again.

    Example 3. 10 x Bench Press 3010 in first 70 Seconds and 10 x Row 2010 in…

  20. "Add my own target" for other cardio activities

    When making instructions for Cardio activities like skipping, it only gives the option to do "Time" or "None" I'd like to specify for say skipping 6 rounds of 60 seconds with 45 seconds rest as an example. Similar to "General" that has "Add my own target".
