Feature requests, ideas and suggestions

We are continually upgrading Trainerize with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other trainers can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our trainer community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our trainer community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of trainers and how it fits with the overall vision of Trainerize.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  1. Progressions WITHIN a workout

    Would be great to be able to make progressions WITHIN a workout without having to copy/paste and do it manually. Right now, all sets have to be the same - would be awesome if we could have (for example) the ability to assign different reps/time/goals across the same circuit

  2. Cronometer Integration

    Cronometer is a fantastic tool to look at overall nutrition. It goes into much more detail regarding micronutrients and even individual amino acids which is INCREDIBLY important for vegans and vegetarians

  3. Onboarding videos for clients

    Create onboarding videos for trainers to use to help their clients to learn how to use the app. I am looking for more support videos from trainerize for my clients. I need videos to show them how to "Find their workouts", "Mark their Workout" as complete, "Substitute Exercises", "Access the On Demand Library", "Take Progress Photos", "Track Body Stats", and "Use the stopwatch or timer". It would be nice if these instructions were uploaded in the Trainerize video library so that we could drop them into their programs or message.   4. Make the "Thumbs Up" solid after deploying in the Client Overview

    It would be awesome to have the Thumbs Up stay solid to know we've already deployed for that client activity. Even better, it would be great to have the same options available that appear in Groups (which DO show what has been deployed). Thanks!

  5. Add RPE option to every exercise in a workout.

    As a trainer and powerlifting coach, out facility would like the ability to rate every exercise in the workout plan to accurately progress athletes.

  7. Add "Loaded Carry" as an exercise type

    I would like to see LOADED CARRY added as an exercise type option.

    Exercises that fall into this category are; Farmer carries, suitcase carry, ruck hike, etc.

    The objective here is to transport a load over a distance. Measures to t record that would indicate progress would be;
    1) the load carries
    2) the distance transported
    3) the time to cover the instance (or time under tension/load)

    So, when recording progress for his type of move we need to be able to record and track progress on;
    A) Distance covered
    B) Time under tension
    C) Load

  9. More Appointment Durations ( ie: 20 min appointments, more scheduling options)

    I should be able to schedule appointments anytime I want to and not be limited to 15-minute increments for the duration.

  11. Build out on-demand libraries of workouts or classes

    I would like the ability to separate out sections in the programs tab like "Yoga", "Pilates", "HIIT" and create libraries of workouts/classes that clients can start whenever they feel like it.

  12. Add more body weight exercises

    During COVID 19 can you add more body weight and/or pilates type exercises. Clients have limited equipment at home.Im spending hours adding youtube videos that take clients AWAY from Trainerize site.

  15. Integration with Eat This Much. This is the best meal planning software out there.

    This is the best meal planning software out there. You set your macros and can filter everything from time that you have to prepare a meal, to no cooking, to easy swaps that keep your macros intact.

  16. Ability to prescribe a habit to a group instead of needing to do one person at a time

    So far, you can only prescribe a habit to one person at a time. I would like to be able to assign a habit to the entire group, and be able to filter client list by habit compliance...

  18. Add GPS to cardio activity

    When clients go for a walk, run or cycle outside, it would be nice for them to just click 'start workout' and the app records the time (which is already happening) along with the amount of distance they are doing.

    At the moment - I am suggesting they use another app (mapmywalk, etc) but it does put them off using our app as they already have to use a different app for food logging plus zoom.

    I would rather them not need to download another app and have all these features in this one!

  20. Duplicate and/or Replace

    The ability to duplicate exercises or supersets. AND the ability to replace exercises in an already created workout, so we can simply duplicate a workout, rename, and change the exercises in it, maintaining all timing and reps etc - the functionality needs to be simple but effective; Click on an exercise and be given the option to duplicate or replace. If replace is chosen the next option should be to replace this occurrence only OR all in the workout.
