We are continually upgrading your fitness app with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  1. Audio cues

    Ability to turn off audio cues but still have bells or a notice of time running out on interval workouts. We often run workouts with our clients and the audio cues are invasive to the client experience, music, and the role of the trainer in the room, however we need some notice of time running out.

  2. Make the nutrition feature more personalisable

    Some of my clients prefer to have a larger lunch and small dinner, some do intermittent fasting, and most like to have snacks.
    Currently the meal planner automatically splits the calories into the meals specified, but doesn't let you specify roughly what distribution across meals you would like OR allow for snacks. Having a category for snacks, and the option to specify the calorie distribution per meal, number of snacks etc would be great.

  3. Text reminders to clients for upcoming sessions

    To reduce the risk of clients missing sessions, it would be great to automate session reminders to clients when they have upcoming sessions via text message (Trainerize notifications don't always come through due to Apple/Android notification settings sometimes silencing them, but texts are more reliable).

  4. We need more options for macros with the nutrition plans

    jumping form 30% protein to 40% protein is way too large of a gap.

    For 2200 calories this is 165 grams at 30%, and 220 grams at 40%.

    We need to be able to better adjust the macro percentages, or have more percentages. 35% protein is needed for sure at the minimum.

  5. Per Meal Fiber totals.

    There is a total fiber, but having each meal have individual fiber totals would be super beneficial.
    Most nutrition apps have this service now.
    Let's keep up with them :-)

    Push notifications to others to book in place of the cancellation to save time for the trainer and reduce productivity loss. would be good if they can accept or decline and have the option to opt in or out for this feature

  7. Ability to create bookings for POTENTIAL clients on calendar (no need for Calendly)

    Many PT's use Calendly for booking clients. It would be great to not have to pay them and be able to use Trainerize to book potential clients meetings or consultations. This would save money and obviously more for us to spend on Trainerize as we grow ;)

  11. Allow multiple entries for an exercise

    As a powerlifting coach having to put top sets & back off sets either next to each other or repeat the exercise separately. True coach allows you to input a lot of data into 1 exercise.

    Set 1: 2reps 89.3% RPE 8/10

  15. Daily Summary for clients - Select clients only (turn on or off for each client)

    There are clients I have who I don't need or want daily summaries for in my email each day. For example those who have only purchased a programme with 2 months access and no follow ups. Or my gym clients who I see in person several times a week.

    I only want a daily summary of my ONLINE clients who are people I need to keep a close eye on to ensure they complete their workouts.

  16. A resource vault where we can upload all of our PDF's and educational videos without having to send it to clients every single time

    Be able to sell a package of sessions to a client, track those sessions as they are used and have the session package automatically rebilled to the client once those sessions are used. For example, a client buys 3 sessions, for a week's worth of training. Once all 3 sessions are used that week, if they come in all 3 times, then the sessions are automatically sold again, ready to be used for the next week.     Graphical Progress: Both coaches and clients can view a graph of weigh-ins over time.
    Phase Selection: Coaches can choose a specific phase (e.g., fat loss, maintenance, lean gaining) for each client. Based on the selected phase, the app automatically adjusts weigh-in goals and tracking rules, such as:

  19. Allow clients to substitute an exercise for their entire training phase

    Allow clients to substitute an exercise for their entire training phase and not just for that specific day. Especially for programs that clients are subscribed to where they are locked into performing a specific exercise for the duration of a training phase.   20. adding HRV, Oura Ring, and Continuous Glucose Monitor recording and tracking

    I have been doing continuous glucose monitoring, using the Oura ring to track sleep patterns and activity, and monitoring HRV with clients. Would be great if i could track them all down in one place like here in the Trainerize app. You already have so many great integrations and this would really take it over the top as not any other app is currently doing all of these in one app.
