Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  2. Zone interval training / metcon cardio intervals

    Customize zone targets time in cardio workouts. Zone 1 for 5 min, zone 2 for 10 min, etc. Build a heart rate interval workout.

  3. Ability to log/track and search for 1RM, 3RM, 5RM, 10 rep max history for each client easily

    Currently in the trainerize apk there is a history list and a running bar showing 3 rm, 5rm, max weight ever and max volume. As so, the trainee is unable to quickly check the PRs for the rep range that his/her coach prescribed for the given day.
    Solution:Clicking the exercise leads to a history list with date, reps and weight, swiping left leads to a list of all rep ranges (1-15) and the records for these rep ranges.

  4. Ability for clients to select easier/harder exercise (progression or regression)

    Ability to add regressions and progression. So clients can progress an exercise to a more challenging version, or regress to an easier version by themselves, without having to think about the right substitution.

  5. Allow clients to pause workouts and come back without having to click "save"

    Many of my clients have brought to my attention they would like to be able to pause their workouts. In cases where they need to break up their workout they aren't able to pause a workout half way, just save and finish the workout.

  6. 1 rm calculator

    a simple Rep max calculator so you can prescribe a % or a load based on personalised % of a rep max ie 5rm - 3 rm etc

  7. Combine different circuit/interval/regular workouts within one multi-modal workouts

    Add the ability to merge different types of workouts (like circuit and HIIT) into 1 workout.

    Ability to programme in alternative exercises if clients don't have kit available/busy gym etc -

  9. Allow any workout created to be saved into a master library for the trainer to access forever

    Any workout created should be saved into a master library for easy access. Right now I import workouts client to client and sometimes I can't import due to a training phase. I would love all my workouts to be saved automatically into a library to easily use. All workouts. I created on term clients have disappeared.

  10. workout substitutions-

    Have the ability to select a reason for substitution. eg.-no cable machine access, or low impact needed and have it recommended a substitution based off of client need or availability.

  11. Form Videos added per exercise

    I have seen this on true coach where the client adds their form video with each exercise - this is a lot easier than them having to keep adding in main chat, or even better have it linked with main chat. Also workout feedback doesnt show in main feedback and I often miss comments as too many clients to check each individual workout in case of a comment

  12. Estimated calories burnt during workout

    Trainerize to calculate based on reps/sets and exercise type how many calories have been burnt during the workout and it add to expenditure automatically. Really useful for achieving specific goals. :)

  14. Add .srt options for the closed caption file types

    Make .srt was an option for the closed caption format. Or at least as another option other than .vtt; .vtt does not work as well.

  17. drop down menu for sets/ reps

    When in a "workout" there seems to be a lot of "empty/white space". So it seems like the workout is long because of all the wasted space it has around the exercises etc.
    What would be good is if there was a drop down arrow on the exercise that once clicked, drops down the sets/ reps of that given exercise instead of having the sets/ reps already on show.

  19. freestyle

    Allow clients to label their creations in freestyle. Such as push, pull, legs, etc.

    I have clients that just pay to use the app to track their workouts. This is a common complaint.
