This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  2. Easy onboarding flow

    For the online only coaches, a seamless onboarding flow would be ideal. I know you can send a welcome email when a new client is added, but I mean something better than that. The PDF resources you can attach to the email are limited and not that large of files. What would be great to have all in one platform:

  4. adding new client to repeating class/program

    I'd love to be able to update my group sessions to add people to repeated sessions versus 1 session. I have a 12 week program and if someone starts part way through I have to manually go through each class and add the person. It would be great if I could add the person to the class with a repeat option for the future classes.

    An AI Recipe / Meal Builder would be a game changer! Allow trainers to instantly generate full meals based on ingredients and measurements, or even pull directly from a URL. This would speed up the process of adding meals and building plans.

  7. Smart Progression Suggestions

    Now that we're experimenting with AI (e.g. AI Workout Builder), it would be nice to have some gentle smart progression suggestions for clients based on previous sessions data and RPEs submitted by clients. For example, if a client is supposed to do 10 - 12 reps, consistently does 12 (or more) reps and a given weight and rates the overall workout as a 5/10 RPE, the app could then suggest increasing weight to get them closer to failure/1-2 reps in reserve at 10 reps or less.   9. Create a specific timer - Include the ability to add odd numbers or to input specific timers

    When focussing on specific energy systems that have work to rest ratios that can vary it would be great if we had an ability to input specific times for both the work & rest components of our workout.

    Eg. Assault Bike Intervals - Alactic Training - 7 sec max effort work followed by 63 seconds rest, etc

    This can help to give a bit more flexibility for those of us who like to be more specific with our programming.

  10. Which can Trainerize implement advanced AI-driven adaptive training plans that dynamically adjust?

    Hi everyone,
    I’ve been exploring ways to make Trainerize training plans far more adaptive and personalized, and I’d love to hear thoughts from the community and product team on this.
    Here’s what I’m envisioning:
    Real-Time Performance Feedback Loop:
    Collect real-time data from connected wearables (heart rate variability, sleep quality, daily activity, training load).
    Adjust day-to-day training intensity or volume based on recovery metrics and recent performance trends.
    Has anyone experimented with adaptive plan logic like this in Trainerize or similar platforms? What worked and what didn’t?
    Looking forward to insights from coaches, developers, and product thinkers!

  11. Can we add HRV & Deep Sleep tracking as a metric in the app?

    It would make my life so much easier and better as a coach if I could see my clients daily, weekly and monthly HRV.

    Also, if I could see the percentage of their deep sleep it would make me hold them so much more accountable to their sleep.

  13. Allow Clients to Upload Images into Calendar

    It would be helpful to have an option just like "workout", "cardio", "check-in form", etc where a client can upload an image that shows a workout they did on their own. There are clients I work with who are not following a workout program built by me, but we do use Trainerize for nutrition coaching/food tracking. The likelihood that I can expect a client like this to go in and "Build their own workout" while hand picking every single exercise they did is not high as most people do not have the time to do this.   14. Check-ins/forms

    The ability to speak/respond/add notes to a clients check-in form directly rather than taking notes then sending a seperate message or video response. So a reply tab directly within the checkin form, so we can read and respond all in one.

  15. AI Program Adjustments Based on Client Check-Ins

    I'd like to see the AI Workout Builder react to client check-ins and progress data automatically.

    Right now, we collect a ton of useful info (energy, sleep, soreness, compliance, etc.), but it still requires the coach to manually adjust the program. It would be a huge time-saver if AI could suggest (or even auto-apply, with approval) small program tweaks based on that data.

    Example use case:

    Client reports low energy + high soreness → AI suggests reducing volume or intensity for the next session
    Client consistently hits targets easily → AI suggests progressive overload (increase weight/reps)

    You’ve added a “Swim” cardio workout option, which is great. However the data fields available to log metrics from a swim workout are extremely limited.

    Like a “walk” cardio workout, can you add time / distance (m or yards) and calories as part of logging a swim workout?

  19. the ability to add half reps (such as 7.5 reps) instead of only whole numbers, so users can track their workouts more accurately.

    This feature would be very valuable because not every set in strength training ends with a full repetition. In many exercises, especially during high-intensity sets, drop sets, partial reps, or training close to muscular failure, athletes often complete only part of the final repetition. That “half rep” still represents real work, real fatigue, and real training stimulus, but currently it cannot be tracked accurately if the app only accepts whole numbers.
    For example, if someone performs 7 full reps and then manages only half of the 8th rep before failure, logging 8 reps would be inaccurate and logging 7 reps…
