We are continually upgrading your fitness app with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  1. Start Workout

    On the dashboard, when a client starts a workout there is a start workout button and it is a continuous flow of the workout. So it simultaneously goes from one exercise to the next including rest periods and videos and the client can pause the workout during.

  2. Allow coaches to see/edit full workouts on the calendar screen

    When programming for a client seeing the "bigger picture" is very helpful. It can be extremely tedious going back to the programs tab and editing each workout or having to check back with other workouts to ensure there isn't any unnecessary exercise overlap between training sessions. Allowing coaches to program on the calendar screen would be a huge boost to productivity.

  3. Allow trainers to switch accounts.

    Many trainers are also coached by coaches using Trainerize and you have to sign out and sign back in and go through all of the prompts. It is time consuming and annoying. We should have a switch accounts options to stay signed into both and switch back and forth between accounts like you can on social media platforms.

  4. Make hover over preview for a meal larger

    Is there ANY way of making the client meal photos bigger / easier to see?
    The screenshot below shows how hovering over the photo enables the photo to 'expand' to a measly 1/10th of the entire size of my laptop screen.
    Most clients won't take high-res photos in great lighting - so if it's no possible to make the the photo easier to see (and this provide feedback) it seems to be a glaring error in the functionality!

  5. Generate a client referral code to programs

    When a trainer opens up a program for open enrollment, clients can get their own referral code from the program to share with others. This will automatically store the data (how may times the code has been used), within their profile and take a certain dollar amount off the next month's subscription.

  6. Sync Macro adjustments back to a clients My Fitness Pal

    With the syncing, I update client Macros in trainerize - and they have to update macros in their MFP account. If there is an option to track in MFP - could we please also make it so that Macro adjustments populate their MFP account from trainerize.

  7. add individual items to meal plan

    add individual items to meal planner, ie 40g oats, 100ml almond milk etc
    you can do this with m any other leading apps like PT minder and Kahunas. if this is not implemented soon i will have to change because the demand is there for my clients and these other apps are cheaper and have unlimited client seats

  8. Be able to pay your team members in the app.

    Wouldn't it be nice if you could pay your team members right in the app instead of taking it to a different software or cutting checks each month. Would this even be possible or to say pay your team members a percentage of the money that comes in for their clients?

  9. Dashboard for all client’s steps

    A dashboard where you can monitor all of your clients’s steps at the same time. So you don’t have to meticulously click on their individual profiles to view. Example:

    Jason: 8035 steps
    Kyle: 10377 steps
    Matilda: 2500 steps
    George: 4788 steps
    Anthony: 8411 steps

  10. We need a scale-weight loss-rate

    One of the most important metrics is the rate of weight loss. There's no way to determine that currently without doing calculations. It would be great to see on the dashboard, the client is on average losing 1.3 pounds a week.

  11. Have a an option for date countdown for goal completion

    I think it would be great to have some sort of countdown ability for certain goals.
    Examples: lose 10 lbs for wedding countdown would show you have x days left with x lbs left to hit goal

    • 10 min mile for 10k - x days left avg mile currently x

  13. Enable Expiring Program Tags When Subscribed To Master/On-Demand Programs

    Trainers should be able to enable to see when clients custom programs are expiring or expired, but unfortunately that isn't the case when they are also subscribed to a master program or on-demand program library. This is a big flaw as many master programs linked to groups or on-demand programs are now being used to compliment clients custom primary programs, and not just as an alternative to them.

  14. Countdown timer for days until program ends

    We all know if theres a deadline we work harder subconsciously. So if you our members are on a 30 day, 90 day, 120 day, or annual program, and the countdown timer is on dashboard, clicking away, day by day, its going to create URGENCY.

    Urgency creates habits, that create results.

    So if theres days ticking away, day by day on dashboard, they are going to DO MORE, work harder, etc.

  15. BASIC CLIENTS - Add ability to track and store measurements for gym members

    There's no real difference between basic clients and offline clients. For non-pt clients such as gym members who are added to trainerize, we should be able to at least track and store their measurements at bare minimum. This is a free feature with myfitnesspal. I rather move all my clients to trainerize then use 2 different apps for this.

  16. More detailed progress charts on custom Cardio exercises (Time, speed, max speed, avg speed etc.)

    With the system preset Cardio exercises users and trainers can track distance, max speed, average speed, tempo etc., but for the custom added ones (like airbike, rowerg, skierg in my case) the only possibility is to track time, even though clients input all the aforementioned data.

    Given that all that data is already available and collected I believe it won't be too hard to make this feature available.

  18. Some ideas around 1RM

    1) Being able to manually enter a client's 1RM for an exercise

    2) Using percentages of 1RM to prescribe a workout weight, this is especially useful for the long-term progression of programs

  19. Provide a scanner option so clients can scan a food item to get nutrition information

    Similar to most nutrition tracking apps. Your in app good tracker should have a scanner option so that people can simply scan the bar code on a package to import all nutrition information.

  20. Add more food items to the meal tracker.

    I use My Fitness Pal which has MORE items loaded which makes it easier to log food quickly.

    Please leave a comment which country you are from. The meal tracker is currently focused on US, UK, Canada and Australian food items.
